Installation of Automated Piezometric, Temperature and Land Survey Total Stations for the Acquisition of Deformation Measurements for Data Delivery and Quality Assurance.
Challenges:
Area of disturbance was located inside a manufacturing plant. Production flow could not be interrupted. Survey measurements had to be made from within area of disturbance.
Measurements included 84 prism targets mounted on various structural components, 40 floor targets located on concrete slabs, 2 temperature probes located inside and outside of plant walls, and 4 vented vibrating wire piezometers installed in monitoring wells around site. One of the piezometers required radio signals from its solar powered datalogger. Data was collected from all components on one hour intervals, twenty four hours per day, and seven days per week.
