Colonial Properties developed these two projects on 190 acres of property in Trussville Alabama. Anchored by Home Depot,
Target, Parisians, Belk, and JC Penney, The developments contained about 1 million square feet of leasable area and 21
outparcels. Prior to development, the property had an elevation difference of almost 200 feet within the property boundaries.
This necessitated moving between 1.5 and 2 million yards of material containing significant amounts of rock. In addition,
several large retaining walls were necessary for the projects success and a 1.4 mile parkway was designed and dedicated as
a public roadway.
